National Museum Day 18th May
Experience the National Museum Day in the unique museums of Greece offering free entrance to their guests and a number of experiential thematic activities!
The Archaeological Museum of Heraklion:
Under the thematic core: “Museums for a society of perspectives” the Museum of Heraklion wishes to denote the importance of culture and the role of the Museums in suggesting and proposing models for a less consuming and more eco sensitive society.
On Monday May 18th 2015 in the Archaeology Museum of Heraklion: Visit the exhibition on free entrance and participate in the following activities:
10.00am – 1.00pm Pottery Workshop and thematic guided tours by the museum Archaeologists in the spaces of exhibition focusing on the process of ceramic production in the antiquity.
10.00am – 12.00pm Weaving Workshop and thematic guided tours by the museum Archaeologists in the spaces of exhibition focusing on wool processing and the weaving technics in the antiquity.
6.30pm – 7.30pm Music Concert (Violin Duet) in the Museum sculptures exhibitional hall.
