This year as well, we come back with several new projects for your one day or more of touring on Crete and with a thematic 9 days Study tour in early October focusing on the Prehellenic Mysteries.
Wishing to let you know more about our suggested tours and their lay out, we are presenting you one of our favorite routes for your 2015 Crete travel experience.
MINOAN EAST CRETE

Detailed description:
Our day will start by visiting the amazing excavations of the Minoan industrial small town, trading and arts center of Gournia. We will be walking along prehistoric houses, pedestrian alleys, art workshops and cult areas. We will explore how everyday people lived in the Minoan period and seek for the similarities with life today in Crete.
By the oldest olive tree of the Mediterranean- a 3250 years old natural monument we will experience an hour dance session on the Minoan seasonal dances depicted in the Minoan Art. Based on ancient postures we will attempt an approach on the Minaon ritual Dance through a lecture and a practice dance session. Welcoming the spring, awaking the Land, Swirl fertility Dances, Tree or Altar Dances are some of our thematic cores. Music and natural elements will accompany our attempt and help us embody this unique experience.
In the traditional small village of Mochlos, in one of the few villages on Crete formed literally on the water we will have a swimming and lunch opportunity.
By a small boat we will reach the island of Mochlos one of the most important Minoan sites on Crete, flourishing port town and ancient trading center, with Minoan shrines, workshops and a prepalacial cemetery which brought to light a plethora of unique finds, through its excavations. Mochlos had become the focus for new industries including the manufacture of gold jewelry, stone vases, and faience 4000 years ago, while the presence of workshops in Mochlos using raw materials like gold implies trading relations beyond the island of Crete.
