  This tour will take you to a traditional village, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. In the village, you will ride a horse on your own and start your horse riding, heading to the countryside. During your Experience, two professional escorts will be by your side. No matter how experienced you are, you will be able to enjoy your Experience and have fun!

• Explore Stunning East Cretan Landscapes

  You will explore an impressive Plateau next to the village and the nearby hills, among spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. Following old paths, you will enjoy your ride in the countryside and reach old monasteries, while the scents of the Cretan nature will be delighting your senses!

• Visit the Ancient City of Lato

  You will explore one of the most important and imposing Greco-Roman cities of Crete, the ancient city of Lato. The name derives from the goddess Leto, who was probably worshiped there, however, the patron of the city was the goddess of childbirth, Eileithyia.

  The town had existed ever since the second millennia B.C and met its greatest flourishing at the time of the Dorian invasion, at 1100 B.C. You will be amazed by its strong fortifications, well preserved monuments such as the Agora, the Prytanion, the Temple and the Theater. The view is truly breathtaking from the hill it is located.

• Enjoy Lunch in Agios Nikolaos Town

  You will sum up your experience with the ancient port of Lato, the so-called “Lato pros Camara”, the modern picturesque town of St. Nicolas, renowned for its “bottomless lake”.

  In Agios Nikolaos, you will enjoy lunch in a local tavern by the sea, tasting the delicious Cretan specialties.
